We begin, where England began, at Kingston-Upon-Thames with the option of a riverside pub lunch in handsome Thames Ditton or free time for lunch in Windsor.

In the afternoon we cruise past the Queen's backyard to the meadows at Runnymede where you can opt to visit an intriguing meadow artwork commissioned for the Magna Carta anniversary.

Meet the guide at 10.30am on the border of the ancient kingdoms of Mercia and Wessex at Kingston Upon-Thames where the Saxon Kings of the new united country of England were crowned. Morning coffee and biscuits are included and on a little walking trail begin the story of This Country called England from its very earliest times.

The Saxon Coronation Stone still stands by the Guildhall and the ancient Clattern Bridge is a stone's throw from the ancient Market Square with its impressive church.

From Kingston we take a coach tour following the Thames past Henry VIII's Hampton Court. You can add a group lunch at a riverside pub in handsome and affluent Thames Ditton or we can continue on to Windsor where you can do your own thing before the cruise, which departs from the bridge between Windsor and Eton at 3.00pm.

The cruise is two-hours downriver from Windsor past the Queen's vast private parklands with castle views through Edward the Confessor's Old Windsor and on to the famous meadows at Runnymede

You can buy hot and cold drinks on board before stepping ashore at Runnymede where you can head for home at 4.45pm or add a visit the life size bronze thrones in the meadow that commemorate Magna Carta and head home at 5.45pm.
