2019 will be City & Village Tours’ 12th Year commissioning a special series of concerts at the Musical Museum at Kew Bridge. Our concerts help to fund a project close to our hearts that receives no government funding.

This year the theme is A Christmas in New York. Resident organist Chris Barber will be at the helm of the Mighty Wurlitzer accompanied by a fine soprano singer. Special lighting and projections will transport you across the Atlantic. Expect music from shows and films featuring popular tunes from the Great American Song Book including White Christmas and Winter Wonderland.

For 2019 there are FIVE very important changes to enhance your afternoon out,

The Concert now includes lunch - It’s been tricky for groups to factor in a bite to eat on the way to West London without falling foul of the traffic so serving lunch is the ideal solution. Arrive at 12.45/1.00pm for time to enjoy the quirky museum before sitting down to lunch at 1.30pm. A selection of sandwiches with seasonal fillings, salad garnish, crisps, sausage rolls and mince pies is served with tea and coffee.

A Glass of Prosecco - After ten years of sherry we’ve got with the times and for 2018 we’ll be serving a glass of Prosecco to all of our guests.

A Choice of Concert Only or Concert & Christmas Lights & Sights Tour - For 2018 you have the option of coming for lunch & the concert before heading home at 3.30pm ahead of the rush hour or adding our Christmas Lights & Sights Tour.

New Jam Busting Timings - If you come for the concert only you’ll be heading home at 3.30pm ahead of the rush hour. If you add the Christmas Lights & Sights Tour you’ll head into the centre of London with our Blue Badge Guide at 3.30pm. We’ll be driving into London on the A4 against the flow of traffic coming out. It means of course that we hit the rush hour in central London but that’s to our advantage! We’ll be able to move around the heart of our beautiful capital slowly enough for you to really see the Christmas Lights & Sights. London is an absolute dandy at night and in addition to the shopping street lights we’ll show you beautifully illuminated buildings and bridges all with an entertaining commentary. Your tour will end at a Christmassy location that suits your route out of London. There’ll be time to buy refreshments or a bite to eat if you want before heading home at 6.45pm on much emptier roads.

Available on selected dates in Nov & Dec 2019.
